This page is under development - any resemblance to actual members of the church is purely coincidental

Father Brian Regan

The Vicar
We use to have a vicar, I'm sure we did. You couldn't miss him - black shirt, white collar. Whatever happened to him? What was his name again?

Anne Gregory

Anne Gregory - Parish Administrator
Anne has been at St Oswald's since she was a child and has gradually risen from "the noisy one in the youth club" to "the noisy one on the PCC" more commonly called the Parish Administrator. As such Anne is responsible for virtually everything and it is widely believed that the church (and possibly the universe) would cease to function without her.

Steve Collins

Steve Collins - Churchwarden
Steve has been newly elected as churchwarden this year and along with Duane (below) is responsible for the fabric, contents and general maintenance of the church. If anything needs doing around the church Steve is the man to go to to find a reason why we can't.

Duane Harwood

Duane Harwood - Churchwarden/PPC Secretary
Duane is serving his fourth year as churchwarden and has recently been appointed PCC Secretary. As PCC Secretary Duane is responsible for keeping the minutes of the PCC meetings (although an MI5 cryptographer is sometimes needed to decipher his notes), for losing them when considered appropriate and he pays special attention to removing comments about the Archdeacon.

Roger Cashmore

Roger Cashmore - Organist
St Oswald's answer to Liberace. Roger is equally at home with the electric Hammond organ, the church organ or an M16 rifle. After music, his main hobby is shooting people and causing general mayhem (that's in computer games - not unappreciative listeners). Roger is a perfectionist, never satisfied unless he fills his quota of bum notes during the service.

No, really, it's the PCC

St Oswald's PCC
The Parochial Church Council is responsible for the smooth running of the church. They meet monthly and make the decisions about the direction of the church, the work that needs to be done, how we spend our money, who's going to take the blame and how we stop the Archdeacon from finding out. A PCC meeting is often an arena of lively discussion although rumours of fatal disagreements remain unconfirmed since the minutes of those particular meetings have been mislaid. (See PCC Secretary - above).

The Choir

The Choir
Since they retired from touring the Heavy Metal circuit, Molly, Steve, Sue and Jim have formed the core of St Oswald's choir. Enid has now returned to the choir (albeit with half the usual number of lungs) and new recruit Wendy means that the choir is now well equipped to lead and support our congregation in its long-running battle with the organist.
